Most Hills District homes have a main bathroom and an ensuite of the same age, and owners want both done at once. In Baulkham Hills we renovated both rooms and the laundry for a family of five. We sequence the trades, set up a temporary solution where there is no spare bathroom, and price the lot as one itemised quote.

Many homes in Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill and Cherrybrook still have their original bathrooms: boxed in layouts, poor ventilation and little natural light. We look at moving fixtures, opening up the shower and improving the exhaust, and we price any layout change on the inspection.

An upstairs bathroom sits over a living room or kitchen, so a failed membrane shows up as a stain on the ceiling below. We check for existing leaks, the floor framing and the waterproofing at the shower before we quote, and the new room is waterproofed to AS 3740:2021 and certified.

In Dural we converted a walk in shower into a steam room, enclosing it to hold vapour and housing the generator in a serviceable cabinet outside the bathroom. Parts of Dural, Kenthurst, Glenorie and Annangrove are not on the main sewer. Moving a toilet or adding a shower can affect an on-site wastewater system, so as licensed plumbers and drainers we check where everything drains before we quote.

Can you add a steam shower to an existing bathroom?
Often, yes. In Dural we converted a walk in shower into a steam room. The shower had to be fully enclosed to hold steam, and the generator went into a purpose built cabinet outside the bathroom so it can be serviced. Our property is on acreage and not on the sewer. Is that a problem?
No. Parts of Dural, Kenthurst, Glenorie and Annangrove run on an on-site wastewater system rather than the main sewer. Nu-Trend are licensed plumbers and drainers, and we check where the bathroom drains to before we quote.
